My international travels started early at the age of fifteen, with a summer exchange stay in Japan. I instantly became enamored with the country and have since returned to Japan nearly every year continuing my relationship with the same host family that I stayed with from over a decade ago. I recently had the opportunity to travel to Finland in 2015 as part of an international travel course offered by the University of Maine at Augusta where the focus of study was on Aalto's early works.
